Going for GOLD at the 2012 Olympics
We are the very first owners of the new MAN Flagship Limited Edition Corinthian 5 Tractor unit as part of MANs 20th Anniversary
Due to our specification for the events industry, MAN made a 'one off' truck for us. Directors Terry Goodwin and Darren Barnham were invited to MAN's head office in Swindon to receive the new truck which was on display in MAN's reception. During the handover MAN's CEO Des Evans explained that they originally wanted to call the limited edition anniversary MAN truck 'The Olympian' to commemorate the forthcoming 2012 Olympic Games. However, MAN were told that they could not use the name due to marketing rights, so they chose the name Corinthian, and the 5 stands for the fact that it's Euro-5. The new MAN flagship is claimed to be the safest truck on the road, it comes with Lane Guard System, Electronic Stability Programme and Adaptive Cruise Control as standard. More innovation awaits the driver with an iPad 3 communications and entertainment system, as well as the additional luxury of leather seats and interior cab fittings. On the exterior an image of Usain Bolt is displayed
We are proud to be associated with MAN's flagship truck as it says a great deal about our company and image. A truck like this says as much about our business as the customers we work for. It is great for our own team and it reassures our customers that we appreciate their confidence in us.
